Types of Therapy

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. It is a type of therapy used to help people process traumatic experiences and distressing memories. EMDR involves a series of guided eye movements while the individual recalls the traumatic event, with the aim of reducing the emotional impact of the memory.

Somatic Experiencing (SE)

Somatic Experiencing is a type of therapy developed by Dr. Peter Levine to help individuals heal from trauma and stress disorders. This approach focuses on the body's physical sensations and helps individuals release stored traumatic energy. Somatic Experiencing aims to gradually allow the individual to safely experience and process their bodily sensations associated with trauma, leading to a reduction in symptoms and an increased sense of well-being.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a type of therapy approach that focuses on the idea that our psyches are made up of different "parts" or subpersonalities. These parts can have different beliefs, emotions, and motivations. In IFS therapy, the goal is to help individuals understand and heal their internal system by fostering communication and cooperation among these different parts. By working with these parts in a compassionate and curious way, individuals can achieve a greater sense of self-awareness, integration, and emotional healing.

Inner Relations Focussing (IRF)

Inner Relations Focussing (IRF) is a method used to explore and address unresolved emotional issues or conflicts within oneself. It encourages individuals to attend to their inner experiences and bodily sensations to gain insight and promote healing.
